I have read both of those books! Beck is the best tv show ever. The book I read doesn't have Gunvald in it and isn't as modern as the tv show so I was disappointed. Watch the tv show if you can.

I loved The Shadow of the Wind. Terrible title, wonderful story. It gave me an appreciation of magical realism.
